When I was a small child in bed at night, I often saw beautiful patterns when I closed my eyes. Sometimes, I would lay awake with visions of beautiful, colorful animals floating around my bedroom. I did not know until much later in life that this was an unusual experience, but I always knew that I was an artist. This series of Cat Face quilts is an expression of that early childhood experience, which has influenced my entire Life’s work as an artist, and has kept me on my path as an artist as well as on a path of Mental Health, Healing and Equity.
